Brief History

Tony Wedlock is one of Australia’s most credentialed drag racers, having raced in the ‘factory hot rod’ Pro Stock category from 1987 to 2005.

In a professional career spanning 20 years, Tony has won 22 ANDRA national event titles in 36 final round appearances.

Included amongst these victories are some of Australia’s most prestigious events, with the Ultimate Motorsports team winning three ANDRA Australian National Titles and four Winternationals victories.

In 2004 after five series runner-ups, Tony secured the Australian Pro Stock Championship with a perfect, undefeated season, a feat unequalled by any racer in ANDRA professional racing.  Tony concluded his Pro Stock career in 2005 with another second placing in the Australian Championship.

In 2007 Tony purchased his current ride, the Toyota Aurion Pro FX car from the USA, as he sought new challenges and could see that these high horsepower turbo powered cars are the way to the future.

In 2008, the Ultimate Motorsports team secured their maiden victory in this class by winning the largest event in Australia, the Fast Fours and Rotaries Jamboree at Willowbank Raceway, winning the Pro Turbo category.
